This article covers the latest Blackpurl release, including new features and a full list of fixes and improvements shipped in this update.

What's New

Unit Pricing Feature

Dealerships can now manage default pricing and options by Make, Model, and Submodel, then apply that pricing when creating units in Unit Ordering or for temporary units within Unit Deals.

Tax Rates Change

Tax rates can now accommodate up to 4 decimal places for greater precision.

Greater Visibility of Technician Notes

Technician notes are now more prominently displayed in the job clocking section of a Customer Order.

Technician notes are also more visible in the Customer Order > Service Job – Technician time section.

Automated Price File Tool

A new information banner now appears in Automated Price Files to remind users that their previously used field mappings have been saved and are ready to apply.

New Vendor Order Export File for Yamaha Canada

A new Vendor Order (VO) export file is now available for Yamaha Canada dealers.

FTP Feeds

A new proxy server has been implemented for FTP feeds.

What's Improved

The following fixes and improvements are included in this release:

  • Developed — 9 custom forms for specific dealerships

  • Changed — custom form updates requested by relevant dealerships

  • Resolved — issue with backdated checkout payments not showing the correct date on the customer invoice

  • Changed — scripts used for resyncing CO invoice journal entry (JE) entries

  • Updated — search logic so that previous search results are cleared when the user modifies the search criteria

  • Resolved — issue where tax was being calculated on non-taxable entities in internal service jobs

  • Updated — part record in-stock graphic to include decimal places for quantities when required

  • Resolved — issue with generating an export for a customer units report containing a very large number of units

  • Resolved — issue encountered when using the Vendor filter on unit order reporting

  • Resolved — issue encountered when incorrectly attempting to sync a time clocking entry that has no cost

  • Resolved — issue where unit check-in values added to an appointment were not carried over to the service job when created from that appointment

  • Corrected — issues on the Offer to Purchase and Bill of Sale where totals incorrectly included additional tax amounts

  • Improved — accounting sync flag for task entries was incorrectly being enabled when entries are never generated for tasks

  • Resolved — Automated Price Files was not correctly setting the item cost on parts manually set as packaged parts when the price file did not indicate packaged part status

  • Corrected — issue where the CO invoice type was incorrectly set for an internal transaction when checkout had already been started for a different transaction type on the same Customer Order

  • Changed — CO invoice preview for third-party jobs now includes the PO number when populated

  • Changed — customer ID number is now included on CO customer invoices

  • Corrected — issue where the deductible was not included on the invoice preview for third-party jobs

  • Corrected — issue that incorrectly included deal merchandise in the CO invoice preview

  • Resolved — issue where the TO date on leave times was not being saved as entered

  • Corrected — broken graphic in the scheduler sidebar pull-out

  • Developed — groundwork for an upcoming new feature: Shopify Integration

  • Resolved — issues encountered when using View additional details or Advanced search from the global search suggested matches dropdown
