Blackpurl and DP360 CRM Integration

Learn how Blackpurl integrates with Dealership Performance 360CRM (DP360) to sync unit inventory and convert CRM leads into Customer Orders.

Overview

Blackpurl integrates with Dealership Performance 360CRM (DP360) to keep your unit inventory in sync and allow salespeople to convert DP360 leads directly into Customer Order > Unit Deals in Blackpurl. Customer records from Blackpurl are not synced to DP360 — only unit inventory data is transferred.

Before You Start

Before the integration can be activated, two things must be in place:

  • Your dealership must notify DP360 that you are integrating with Blackpurl. DP360 needs to update their own configuration to enable the connection.

  • The Blackpurl integration with DP360 must be fully set up and operational, with all relevant units syncing — including in-stock units, on-order units, and consignment units (if requested).

To request the integration setup, contact Blackpurl Support with your DP360 Dealership ID number. Also specify which units you want synced to DP360. The standard setup syncs all available units — stocked, on-order, and consignment — as a nightly FTP feed. Blackpurl Support will send a confirmation email once setup is complete.

How the Unit Sync Works

Once the integration is active, Blackpurl keeps DP360 updated with your unit inventory automatically.

  • All relevant units are synced to DP360 after the initial setup is complete.

  • When your dealership orders or receives additional units and their status is set to Available in Blackpurl, those units are also pushed to DP360 in real time.

  • Any changes made to a Unit Record in Blackpurl — including Make, Model, Sub Model, the Unit Notes field, and Suggested Price — are updated in DP360 in real time.

  • When a unit is invoiced in Blackpurl on a Customer Order > Unit Deal, that unit is marked as inactive in DP360, reflecting that it has been sold and is no longer available.

All leads should be entered, followed up, and managed in DP360. Blackpurl handles the unit inventory side of the integration.

Converting a DP360 Lead into a Unit Deal

When a DP360 lead becomes a sale, the salesperson creates the Customer Order > Unit Deal in Blackpurl by pulling the lead details directly from DP360. Follow the steps below.

1. From the Blackpurl header, click Sell. The Select Customer dialog opens. Select the Select a Lead from the CRM option.

A modal dialog titled 'SELECT A LEAD FROM THE CRM' with fields for 'CRM Lead' (showing placeholder text 'Select a CRM le

2. Click into the Select a CRM Lead field and type the name of the customer you are selling to. Blackpurl searches DP360 for any open leads matching that name. Select the relevant lead from the results.

The same modal dialog now showing populated data. The CRM Lead field displays '4547447 - Patty McCall - SKU-00762' and b

3. Once you have selected the CRM lead, match it to a Customer in Blackpurl. Blackpurl will show any existing customers in the system with a matching name for you to select. If no match exists, click Create Using CRM Contact to create a new Customer record using the contact details from the DP360 lead.

By default, Blackpurl only lists DP360 leads created in the last 120 days.

How Blackpurl Matches Units from the DP360 Lead

At the same time as matching the customer, Blackpurl reviews the unit or units attached to the DP360 lead — including any trade-in unit — and attempts to match them to existing records in Blackpurl using the VIN details on the lead.

When a Matching Unit Is Found in Blackpurl

If Blackpurl finds a unit in your inventory whose VIN matches the DP360 lead, the following happens:

  • Blackpurl automatically generates a Unit Deal and attaches the matched unit or units. If a trade-in unit is also matched, it is attached as well.

  • The Internal Comments section records who created the Unit Deal and which DP360 lead it originated from.

  • If the pricing on the DP360 lead differs from the Unit Record pricing in Blackpurl, the Unit Deal will use the pricing from the DP360 lead.

When No Matching Unit Is Found in Blackpurl

If Blackpurl cannot match the VIN to a Unit Record — or if the unit on the DP360 lead has no VIN — the following happens:

  • Blackpurl creates a Unit Deal with a temporary unit using only the basic unit details (Make, Model, etc.) and the pricing from the DP360 lead.

  • The Internal Comments section shows No matching unit found for VIN and lists all the details for the unmatched unit from the DP360 lead.

  • If there is also an unmatched trade-in unit, its details are listed in the Internal Comments section as well.

  • The Internal Comments section also records who created the Unit Deal and which DP360 lead it came from.
