For our Australian Dealership we have provided them with new System Settings > Settings and Control that looks after Stamp Duty
This will allow them to setup the Stamp Duty rates as per their location and these can then be automatically added to a Unit Deal
Prerequisite
Stamp Duty will need to be setup as to what Stamp Duty rates will be active and what Stamp Duty rate will be the default
To do this:
- From the Blackpurl Header, click on then select System Settings
- From the System Setting dashboard, select
- When you access Settings & Controls all sections will be minimized - click on Stamp Duty to open up that section
- This section will list all Australian applicable Stamp Duty for each state and it is then up to you, to go through and indicate which Stamp Duty rate you want active at your Dealership and what your default Stamp Duty rate will be
A. | Name | The name of the Stamp Duty, using the naming convention of State then name of the Stamp Duty ie NT - All dutiable units |
B. | Calc Method | How the Stamp Duty is calculated ie Single rate / Tiered / Escalating rate |
C. | Rates | What the current rate for each Stamp Duty rate that is listed |
D. | Per | Based on per dollar value |
E. | Minimum | Is there a minimum rate if so what is the amount |
F. | Maximum | Is there a maximum rate if so what is the amount |
G. | Default | Which Stamp Duty rate is the default - the toggle will indicate which one is the default |
H. | Active | Indicates which Stamp Duty rates the Dealership wants to be active in your Blackpurl |
I. | On each Stamp Duty rate line: - to edit, by clicking (be careful what you edit) - to delete, by clicking (be careful what you delete) | |
J. | If you want to add additional Stamp Duty rates, click on this icon and complete the Add Stamp Duty Rates pop up | |
K. | If you want to apply the default Stamp Duty rate to your Stocked Units. then click this icon and you know that it is now in playas you will get a confirmation that this is complete This will mean that each stocked unit will now have the default Stamp Duty rate |
- Once the Stamp Duty rates have been setup etc, then you are good to go
Where does the Stamp Duty rates come into play
- When processing a Customer Order > Unit Deal under Pricing, Stamp Duty will automatic calculate as per the settings
As you can see below, it will show:
- Deal Value - the value of the Unit Deal for this unit
- Dutiable Value (if different) - this is for those states that the Dealership needs to charge Stamp Duty for the full retail price of the unit or the recommended retail price and not the lesser value as per the unit deal
- Calculator - what rate it has used to calculate the Stamp Duty
Keep in mind that if this the wrong Stamp Duty rate, then use the drop down and change the Stamp Duty rate to what it should be (it will take the default as per the settings)
- Amount Charged - what the Stamp Duty has been calculated $ value (note that you can override the amount if required)
