Some unit deals require a co-buyer — either for the deal itself or because a finance company requires a second person listed on the financing. This article explains how to add a co-buyer to a unit deal in Blackpurl.
Before You Start
The co-buyer must already exist in Blackpurl as a customer. If they don't have a customer record yet, create one before following the steps below.
Adding a Co-Buyer to a Unit Deal
Create the unit deal in the primary buyer's name and process it as normal — add the unit, options, trade-in, and any other deal details. Once the deal is set up, you can add the co-buyer from the Unit Deal Summary section.
1. Open the unit deal and scroll to the Unit Deal Summary section.
2. Click Add co-buyer.
3. In the Co-buyer dialog, search for the co-buyer's name and select them from the results.
4. Once selected, the co-buyer's information appears in the Unit Deal Summary section.
What Happens Next
The co-buyer is now associated with the unit deal and will appear on relevant unit deal documents, including the Bill of Sale.
