Set Up Shopify Integration Settings in Blackpurl

Configure your Blackpurl system settings to connect Shopify ecommerce sales to your dealership's orders, payments, and fees.

Before You Start

The Shopify integration settings in Blackpurl can only be configured after two prerequisites are met:

Shopify Settings

Once the Super Connector connection is established, navigate to System Settings > Settings and Controls > Shopify Settings to complete the following configuration. Each field controls how Shopify sale transactions are mapped when they integrate into Blackpurl.

Shows the Shopify Settings configuration screen with five labeled sections (A through E) in red letters on the left side

A. Shopify Transaction Type

Select the Transaction Type that will be applied to every sale transaction that integrates from your Shopify store into Blackpurl. It is recommended to create a dedicated Transaction Type for your ecommerce store sales — this makes it easier to track and report on Shopify transactions separately from in-store sales. See Transaction Types: Setup and Configuration for help creating a new one. Once you have decided which Transaction Type to use, update this field.

B. Shopify Payment Method

Select the Payment Method that will be applied to all Shopify sale transactions in Blackpurl. Using a dedicated Payment Method — such as the Webstore Payment Method set up for this purpose — keeps ecommerce payments separate from your other payment methods and simplifies tracking. See Selecting Payment Methods (no longer available) for help reviewing your options. Once you have decided which Payment Method to use, update this field.

C. Fee for Unidentified Products

Any product available for sale on your Shopify store must be linked to a Blackpurl Part Record via the Website Product Manager using the correct Super Connector protocol. If a Shopify product does not have that relationship and is purchased, it will still integrate into the Blackpurl Customer Order — but it will appear as a line item under this fee instead of as a recognised part. Select the fee you want to use for unidentified products and update this field. You may want to create a dedicated fee to keep these transactions separate. See How to Create / Add a New Fee (no longer available) for help.

D. Fee for Shopify Discounts

If a Shopify sale includes a discount, that discount integrates into the Blackpurl Customer Order as a line item under the fee selected here. Choose a fee that clearly identifies discount amounts — consider creating a dedicated fee to keep discounts separate from your other fees. See How to Create / Add a New Fee (no longer available) for help. Once you have decided which fee to use, update this field.

E. Fee for Shopify Shipping

If a Shopify sale includes a shipping charge, that charge integrates into the Blackpurl Customer Order as a line item under the fee selected here. Consider creating a dedicated fee to keep shipping charges separate from your other fees. See How to Create / Add a New Fee (no longer available) for help. Once you have decided which fee to use, update this field.
