What's New
Report Scheduling (Beta)
Report Scheduling is a new feature currently available to Beta Testers. Once it has passed all testing, it will be released to all dealerships.
This feature lets you schedule a limited number of common and custom reports to run automatically — Daily, Weekly, or Monthly — at a nominated time. The report results are then emailed as a CSV file to licensed Blackpurl users. At this stage, scheduling is available only for reports that do not have multiple search result requirements, with plans to expand availability over time.
For further information, see Scheduled Reporting.
All Search to Add on Customer Orders (Beta)
A new Search to Add (STA) web component for Customer Orders is currently with Beta Testers and will be released to all dealerships once testing is complete.
This update standardises the STA experience across Blackpurl. Key improvements include faster search performance and the ability to see all search results rather than only a limited number of top results.
A new filter icon now appears next to the STA section. Clicking it opens a dropdown where you can select which item types to include in your search results — for example, checking the Part checkbox limits results to parts only.
The filter options available will vary depending on which STA you are using. For example, the STA within Unit Deals offers a different set of filter options than other areas.
Deal Forms — Print All Action
Previously, mapped forms in the Documents section of a Unit Deal could only be printed one at a time. A new Print all button has been added to the Documents section, allowing all mapped forms to be combined into a single PDF document that opens in a new browser tab.
Manually added deal documents and non-mapped documents are not affected — these will continue to generate their own individual PDF documents in new browser tabs.
Reporting Deal Units — Updated
The Deal Unit Report has been updated to provide more flexible reporting, particularly around costs and profitability. Additional columns have been added along with more options for totals.
For further details, see Reporting - Active Unit Deals / Deal Units (Unit Deals with Temporary or Stocked or Consignment Units) (no longer available).
Customer Record — Updated
The following new fields have been added to the Customer Record:
Middle name
County
Tax ID#
Ag/Other ID#
These fields are available when creating a new customer and when editing an existing Customer Record.
What's Improved
Resolved — an issue where a unit disappears from service jobs and reappears only after a page refresh.
Resolved — a delete Customer Order issue where a sublet is moved from one Customer Order to another, leaving a blank Customer Order that the user was unable to delete.
Resolved — an issue where users were unable to save settings and controls under System Settings, caused by a previously selected fee code being made inactive. That fee code can no longer be deactivated while it is in use in those settings.
Changed — uploaded pictures for a stock unit are now displayed in the order in which they were uploaded.
Resolved — a UI issue on tablet devices that made it difficult to add parts.
Resolved — a Chart of Accounts (COA) resyncing issue for Xero that caused GL mappings to be dropped.
Changed — setup of sync failure notifications.
Resolved — an issue occurring during the batch job for Accounts Receivable (A/R) balance on Customer Orders, particularly for organisations with Xero connected.
Resolved — a size issue with the new STA component when replacing units on internal service jobs.
Released — mapped forms that were waiting for new fields to be developed.
Changed — reverted new columns from common filters that were added to the Deal Unit Report during deployment of the report scheduling feature.
Changed — the middle name for a customer is now shown when a deal is created using the DP360 integration.
Resolved — an Apex job error occurring when finalising unit options and fees.
