BP2FP: Floor Plan Tool - Units tab

The Floor Plan Management Tool provides you with two tabs to work with. One for generating a listing of floor plan units and the other for working with floor plan statements. This article deals with the Units tab.

Typical reasons for using this tab

Some of the common reasons for using the units tab are:

  • Obtaining a quick listing of all floor plan units which have outstanding balances with a Flooring Company

  • Listing sold units which have outstanding balances so that you can make sure you pay off the outstanding balances for them

  • To see which units are assigned to the different floor plans you work with

Listing Floor Plan Units

To generate a listing of floor plan units you first need to select which Flooring Company you want to list units for. If you only have one flooring company defined then it will be automatically selected for you. You can also pre-filter this listing by selecting a specific floor plan if you have multiple floor plans defined.

Selecting the "List Units" button will generate the unit listing.

For each floor plan unit listed you will be provide the following details:

  • Invoice - the invoice number of the vendor bill payable to the flooring company

  • Date - the date of that invoice

  • Due Date - the due date of that invoice

  • FO # - the factory order number from when the unit was received

  • Stock # - the stock number assigned to the unit in inventory

  • VIN / SN - the VIN or Serial Number of the unit

  • Status - the current status of the unit (Available, Reserved, Sold)

  • Description - this a combination of the Make, Model, Submodel, Year and Color

  • Floor Plan - the floor plan that has been assigned to the unit

  • Invoice Amount - the original total of the flooring company invoice

  • Balance - the current balance of the flooring company invoice

  • Accrued Interest - the total interest that has been recorded against the unit from finalized floor plan statements

The header of the unit listing will provided you with the totals for all units listed. Clicking anywhere on one of the unit listed will open the unit page for that unit in a new browser tab.

Filtering the unit listing

The units tab provides you with two different ways of filtering the units listing, a contextual filter or filtering by status.

Printing or Exporting the unit listing

At any time you can generate an output of the units listed by actioning to either Print or Export the units listed.
