Recommended Reports for Unit Sales Manager

Modified on Fri, 26 Sep at 3:36 PM

This article will cover what reports we would recommend for your Unit Sales Manager to run on a regular basis

Please discuss with your Unit Sales Manager what regular means - at the very least these reports should be run on a weekly basis

Remember that your Sales Workspace will also give you important information that you need to know so it may the case that if you keep an eye on these key metrics, that you don't need to run the full reports

Reporting - Unit Sales Manager

This will give you a start and then the Dealership can work out what additional reports you may want to run

All these reports can be generated through Blackpurl Header > Reporting > Reports

There is a specific Reporting section for Units

Remember that all reports are setup with specific parameters and columns that match that particular report but the user can amend these parameters and columns etc as required.  This article will help you with that - Reporting Tips - Totals / Changing Columns / Changing Parameters / Exporting Search Results / Save Custom Reports / Scheduling Reports / Favourite Reports

Stock Valuation Report / Stock Unit Report

  • Use these reports to match off the units you have physically in stock / to floorplan documentation / to what Blackpurl indicates should have in stock

  • Your controller/bookkeeper would also use these reports to balance out to your accounting package

We would recommend that you export to excel and then sort by Category

The Inventory General Ledger attached to your Category should in theory match to the valuation for that Category in Blackpurl

Deal Units Report

  • This report will assist you if you are wanting a list of units sold by a particular salesperson over a specific time frame etc

Active Unit Deals

  • This report is very useful in providing a list of Active Unit Deals

  • You can change the parameters to list only those Unit Deals that are in quotation status so you can do your followups

Bottom line is that you need to keep your Unit Deals moving / chase up any quotations / make sure that Units are Ordered and Received in a timely manner
