This article will cover how a user can create a Custom Report and then be able to share that Custom Report to other users in your Dealership 


How to Share a Custom Report 


  • The User will develop and save a Custom Report and it will be available in the My custom and shared reports section 


  • In the example below, this user has one Custom report - Part Inventory with Detail



  • Let's say that this user wish to share the Part Inventory with Detail Report with another Blackpurl user in your Dealership - Brian Kelley

    Simply click on the relevant report > then click and then select the option



  • Then from the Report Sharing pop up > check the box next to the user/s you want to share this report to and then click


In our example we want to Share the Report: Store Credits with the user Brian Kelley 



  • Blackpurl will confirm with a notification in the top corner that you have Successfully shared with the selected users




Who have you shared your Custom Report with


If you need to see who you have shared your Custom Report/s with, on the relevant report, simply click on the > select and the Report Sharing pop up will have check marks against each user you have shared this report with



To stop Sharing the Report


If you wish to stop sharing your Custom Report, on the relevant report, simply click on > select and the Report Sharing pop up and just uncheck the checkbox against the user you no longer want to share this report with and then


How does Shared Report/s show up for the User that you have shared the report with


In our example below - we are logged in as Brian Kelley and in their My custom and shared reports - you can see the Shared with me section, they have a shared report called - Part Inventory with Detail and in brackets it will tell them who shared it ie user: [Cathy Price]



Other Information


  • The shared report can only be modified by the user who shared it ie: the owner of the custom report

    If a recipient wants to modify a shared report they would have to save it as their own custom report


  • Only the owner of a shared report can share the report with other users
