Blackpurl Release Notes — Financed Deals, Trade Plate Transfer, and More

This release adds new features for financed unit deals, trade plate transfers, insurance fields, and reporting improvements, plus a wide range of bug fixes.

What's New

Customer Orders > Unit Deals — Financed Deals

Several significant changes have been made to financed unit deals in Customer Orders. Full details are covered in the linked article: Add Deal Financing to a Unit Deal. These changes were requested by a number of dealerships. Review the linked article carefully, and contact your Blackpurl Support team if you have questions.

Deal Trade Plate Transfer

Blackpurl now lets you transfer the plate or registration number from a trade-in unit to the newly purchased unit. A new section appears in the Trade In area of a Unit Deal. This option is not available on trade-in-only customer orders.

This shows a trade-in section form with several fields. In the top left is 'Trade-in 1' with a 'Remove trade-in' link. B

Insurance Information on Unit Deals

You can now record a customer's vehicle insurance information directly on a unit deal. The insurance fields accept free text up to 40 characters each. Any details entered in these fields will appear on the Bill of Sale and Offer to Purchase documents. Leave the fields blank if you do not need to record insurance information.

Deal Financing Company Details on Deal Documents

For financed unit deals (Customer Orders > Unit Deals — Finance), the finance company's account number and phone number now appear on the Bill of Sale and Offer to Purchase documents. These details are pulled from the Vendor Record for the finance company.

Dealer Number for Forms

A new Dealer Number field is now available under System Settings > Settings & Controls > App Settings. Your dealership can store its dealer number in this field for use on dealer forms as required.

Updated Tax Detail Report

The Tax Detail Report now excludes internal invoices by default. To include internal invoices in the report, remove the tick from the relevant checkbox in the report options.

Updated DP360 Sync

The DP360 sync has been updated to include the option of syncing consignment stocked units.

New Vendor Order Export — Honda (USA)

A new Vendor Order (VO) export file format is now available for Honda (USA). For instructions on exporting a vendor order, see Vendor Order Export Formats: Assign and Create Custom Formats.

Changes to Stock Unit Valuation Report

The Stock Unit Valuation report can now be back-dated to a specific day. The report will return unit valuations for all units that were in stock on that date. For more information, see Reporting - Stock Unit Valuation (no longer available).
