Release Notes — Blackpurl (Archiving Quotes, Job Clocking, Lock in Price & More)

A summary of new features and improvements in this Blackpurl release, including quote archiving, technician hour management, and unit deal pricing controls.

What's New

Archiving Customer Order Quotations

Dealerships can now control how long quote Customer Orders remain active in Blackpurl. You can configure when a Customer Order quote is automatically archived and when it is automatically deleted from the system.

This setting is not enabled by default. To configure it, see Archiving / Deleting Customer Order Quotes (no longer available).

Move Logged Job Clocking Hours

Dealerships can now move technician hours logged on a Service Job to either a different Service Job on the same Customer Order, or to a Service Job on a different Customer Order entirely.

For full instructions, see How to Manage Job Clocking - Change / Delete / Move on a Service Job (no longer available).

Optional Message When Emailing from Blackpurl

When emailing documents from a Customer Order, you can now enter a personalised message that will be included in the body of the email. A message field is available in the email composition dialog before sending.

Lock in Price on Unit Deal

A new toggle is available in the Unit Deal > Edit Pricing screen that allows users to lock in the selling price on a deal. When the price is locked, any external updates to the unit's pricing or costing will not affect the price set on that deal.

By default, every Unit Deal is set to No (not locked). To lock the price:

  1. Open the Unit Deal and click Edit Pricing.

  2. In the Edit Pricing Details dialog, move the Lock in the price toggle to Yes.

  3. Click Save to apply the change.

Listing of Customer Orders on Customer Records

Customer Orders now appear on a Customer Record in the section that matches their current status. Active Customer Orders are listed in the Active Order section, and Customer Orders still in quote status are listed in the Active Quote section.

Shows a customer record interface for 'JAMES SMITH' (CTN-0000001). The left sidebar shows various sections including Inf

If you have a Zebra barcode label printer and would like to participate in beta testing, contact your Customer Success Manager. Once testing is complete, Zebra printers will be available to all dealerships as an alternative to Dymo.
