Verify Your Org-Wide Email Address in Blackpurl

Complete the Salesforce email verification step to ensure documents sent from Blackpurl reach your customers and don't go to spam.

Blackpurl sends all outgoing emails — quotes, invoices, service documents, and other customer communications — from a single address called your org-wide email address. Before Blackpurl can send emails from this address, Salesforce (the platform Blackpurl is built on) must verify that you own it. This article explains what the verification email looks like and why completing it matters.

What Is the Org-Wide Email Address?

Your org-wide email address is the single email address Blackpurl uses to send and receive emails on behalf of your dealership. Every document you send from Blackpurl — such as customer orders, invoices, or service job summaries — comes from this address.

The Salesforce Verification Email

When your Blackpurl account is set up, Salesforce automatically sends a verification email to your org-wide email address. The email comes from Salesforce because Blackpurl is built on the Salesforce platform. It will look similar to the example below.

The email contains a unique confirmation link and will read something like this:

Dear [Customer Name],

We have received the following request to add this Salesforce Organization-Wide Email Address.

New Organization-Wide Email Address: your chosen email address will appear here

Why You Must Complete Verification

Clicking the confirmation link in the verification email is a required step. Until the link is clicked, Blackpurl cannot send emails from your org-wide address. Completing verification also helps ensure your outgoing emails are delivered to your customers' inboxes rather than being flagged as spam.

The confirmation link expires 72 hours after the email is sent. Click it as soon as possible after receiving it. If the link has expired, contact your administrator or Blackpurl support to have a new verification email sent.

How to Complete Verification

  1. Open the verification email from Salesforce in the inbox of your org-wide email address.

  2. Click the confirmation link in the email body.

  3. Your browser will open and display a confirmation message indicating the email address has been verified.

Once verified, your org-wide email address is active and Blackpurl will use it for all outgoing customer communications.
