Parts Needed Report

Understand what the Parts Needed report shows and how to run it to manage your dealership's parts ordering.

The Parts Needed report shows which parts need to be ordered, the relevant vendor each part should be ordered from, and whether the order is for stock or a specific customer. This article explains how to navigate to the report, what it displays by default, and how to filter it for your needs.

How to Run the Parts Needed Report

Navigate to the report using the following path:

1. Click Reporting in the Blackpurl header, then select Reports.

2. On the Reports page, find the Ordering section and click Parts Needed.

Parts Needed Report

When you open the Parts Needed report, it displays a data table listing parts information in its default format.

You can adjust the filters and parameters to narrow down what the report shows. For example, you can filter to see only parts that are waiting to be ordered, or limit results to a specific vendor.

Use this report to determine which Vendor Orders need to be placed urgently and which can wait.

This report should be reviewed at least once a day by the person responsible for ordering parts at your dealership.
