How to Run This Report
Navigate to the report by going to Reporting in the Blackpurl header, then selecting Reports > Reconciliation > Part inventory accounts.
The report is pre-configured with the filters, columns, and totals you need. To view the inventory valuation total, click Totals and review the Inventory Valuation total.
Totals may initially appear blank while they are being calculated. If you have a large inventory, allow a short time for the calculation to complete before the totals appear.
Breaking Down Valuation by Part Inventory Category
To report on the valuation for each Part Inventory Category, add a Category column to the report:
1. Click Columns and select Category from the list.
2. Click Save As to save your customised report layout.
3. Click Select Column to Group and choose Category to group records by category.
4. Confirm that Group Records By: Category is set correctly.
5. Set Output Results To: Excel (.CSV).
6. Click Apply to generate the export.
The exported CSV file provides totals for each category, allowing you to balance each category against the relevant General Ledger accounts in your accounting package.
