The Unit Inventory Accounts report shows the total value of all unit inventory recorded in Blackpurl. Run this report regularly to reconcile your unit inventory against the Unit Inventory General Ledger accounts in your accounting package.
What This Report Is For
The Unit Inventory Accounts report gives you a total of all unit inventory held in Blackpurl. If your dealership uses accounting integration, you can use this total to compare against the corresponding Unit Inventory General Ledger (GL) accounts in your accounting package and confirm they are in balance.
How to Run This Report
Navigate to the report by going to Reporting in the Blackpurl header, then selecting Report > Reconciliation > Unit Inventory Accounts.
The report opens with the relevant filters, columns, and totals already configured. To get the total value of unit inventory in Blackpurl, click Totals and review the total displayed.
If you want to break down the valuation by Unit Inventory Category, make sure the Category column is visible in the report. You can add or remove columns using the column configuration panel.
To group the exported data by category, select Category as the column to group by before exporting. Then export the report — the exported CSV file will provide totals per category so you can balance each category against the relevant General Ledger accounts in your accounting package.
When to Use This Report
Run the Unit Inventory Accounts report regularly — at a minimum, at the end of each month. This lets you balance your accounting package's Unit Inventory General Ledger against the unit inventory total recorded in Blackpurl before closing out the period.
What to Do With This Report
If your dealership has accounting integration enabled, use the totals from this report to compare your Blackpurl unit inventory value against the corresponding Unit Inventory General Ledger accounts in your accounting package.
