The WIP Labor Inventory Account report shows you the total value of your Work in Progress (WIP) labor inventory currently held in Blackpurl. Run this report regularly to keep your accounting records aligned with what Blackpurl holds.
What This Report Is For
The WIP Labor Inventory Account report lets you see the current total of your WIP Labor Inventory in Blackpurl. This total is used to verify that Blackpurl and your accounting package are in agreement on what is owed or outstanding in the WIP Labor Inventory General Ledger (GL) account.
How to Run This Report
Navigate to the report using the Blackpurl header menu.
1. In the Blackpurl header, click Reporting.
2. Select Reports.
3. Go to Reconciliation > WIP Labor Inventory account.
The report opens with the relevant filters, columns, and totals already configured. To get the WIP Labor Inventory total, click Totals and review the total displayed at the bottom of the report.
When to Run This Report
Run this report regularly — at a minimum, at the end of each month. This allows you to balance your accounting package's WIP Labor Inventory General Ledger against the total held in Blackpurl before closing out the period.
What to Do With This Report
If your dealership has accounting integration enabled, use this report to compare the WIP Labor Inventory total in Blackpurl against the corresponding WIP Labor Inventory General Ledger in your accounting package.
