The customer order header is the persistent bar at the top of every customer order screen. It includes the order number, customer name, and status, and gives access to deposits, checkout, printing, and other order-level actions. The section tabs at the bottom of the header let you navigate between the sections of the order at any time.
Order Number and Customer Name
On the left side of the customer order header you will find The CO number and customer name. The icon to the left of the order number is decorative and is not clickable. What appears in the customer name field depends on the order type:
Cash sale (parts and accessories): CASH SALE
Internal service CO: the store name
Business customer: the company name
Individual customer: first name, middle name (if set), last name, and nickname in double quotes (for example, "MJ") if one is populated on the customer record
Cash Sale orders include an Add customer icon to the right of the name. Selecting it navigates you to the Summary tab where you can assign a customer to the order.
For individual and business customers multiple icons appear to the right of the name.
A View Customer icon which when selected will open the customer page in a new browser tab
A Customer Notes icon which when selected opens the Summary tab sidebar and places your focus in the customer notes field. A green dot included with this icon indicates to you that the customer has notes on file
A View Attachments icon which when selected will present you with a screen containing all attachments on the customer record from which you can view them
Order Status and Actions
The right side of the customer order header is where you will find the status of the order along with all global actions available for the customer order.
Possible Order Status values are Open, Closed or Quote or Archived Quote.
When the Status is Quote, it will allow you to switch the status to Open. When the status is Archived Quote you can switch the status to either Open or Quote to reactivate it.
The Deposit button opens the Add Deposit screen so you can record a deposit against the customer order.
The Checkout button opens the checkout modal so you can select items to invoice, accept payments and finalize the invoice.
The Print icon opens the print screen so that you can generate customer order documents for printing or emailing.
The Tools icon provides you with general actions you can take against the customer order such as Recalculate, Bulk Delete and Delete.
The Close icon closes the customer order screen when selected.
Section Tabs
The section tabs run along the bottom of the header and let you move between the sections of the customer order. These tabs appear in a fixed order based on which sections exist on the order:
Summary (always included)
Deal
Deal Finance
Deal Service 1, Deal Service 2, and so on
Deal Merchandise
Service Job 1, Service Job 2, and so on
Parts & Accessories
The active tab has a distinct background color so you can see which section you are currently viewing. Each tab, except the active tab, also an on-hover tooltip with basic status information about that section.
When there are more tabs than fit across the screen width, an overflow icon appears at the end of the tab row. Selecting it opens a dropdown listing every tab on the order with status details. Select any entry in the list to navigate directly to that section.
Navigating to any tab always positions you at the top of that section. The previous scroll position within the tab is not preserved.
Add to Order
The Add to order icon lets you add a new section to the customer order. The button only appears when new sections can be added — for example, it is not shown when the order is Closed.
Selecting this icon allows you to add more sections to the customer order. Which sections are available for adding may be limited because:
A customer order can only have one Unit deal section
A customer order can only have one Part Sale section
When you select a section, a new tab is added to the header and you are navigated directly to that new section.
