BP2CO: The New Customer Order Experience

Blackpurl 2 provides you with a new and improved selling experience with the BP2 Customer Order. Gone are the days or wearing out your mouse scroll button and excessive drilling into a customer order to get where you need to be.

Blackpurl 2 Customer Order Layout

The new Blackpurl 2 customer order screen has a standardize layout, regardless of what the order contains.

Every customer order always has the same five components as described here:

Header

Always visible across the top of the customer order. Contains the primary CO information, statuses, actions and tools.

Tabs

Always visible below the header. A summary tab which summarizes the entire customer order along with an individual tab for each individual transaction within it.

Sidebar

Summaries and controls for the tab you are currently viewing. Sidebars can be collapsed or expanded as desired

Drawers

Up to 11 contextual panels that slide in from the right. Which icons appear in the drawer depends on the contents of the order.

Main Content

The primary area for whichever tab is being viewed. Contains all of the details related to the tab.

Header

The header is always visible and contains the primary controls for the entire order which includes:

  • The Customer Order

  • The Customer Name with icon for: accessing the customer record, viewing notes or attachments they have on file

  • The Order Status (Open/Quote/Closed) — When available this can switch the order between Quote and Open modes

  • Deposit and Checkout action buttons

  • A Print button to generate any documents that may be available

  • And an Other actions menu (three-dot icon) for less-frequent actions

Tabs

These are always visible immediately below the header.

All customer orders have a Summary tab which summarizes the entire customer order. Additionally there will be an individual tab for each individual transaction within it. To add more transactions(tabs) to the customer order, an Add icon is provide.

Sidebar

The sidebar on the left shows controls and settings for whichever tab you are currently viewing. It can be collapsed to a narrow strip or expanded to show full labels and inputs.

  • Select the Pin icon inside the sidebar to keep it expanded by default for your account.

  • On the Summary tab, the sidebar is always expanded and cannot be collapsed.

  • On all other tabs, the sidebar opens in your last-used state (collapsed or expanded).

Main Content

The section body is the main scrollable area of the customer order screen. Its contents change depending on which tab is active. Available tabs depend on what has been added to the order:

  • Summary — an at-a-glance view of all sections on the order

  • Unit Deal — the units being sold, pricing, options, fees, and trade-ins

  • Deal Finance — financing company, F&I products, and finance terms

  • Service / Deal Service — service jobs with labor, parts, and other job items

  • Parts & Accessories / Deal Merch — parts and merchandise line items

The main content scrolls independently from all other elements on the screen.

Drawers

The right-side drawer icon bar runs along the right edge of the screen. Up to 11 drawer icons may appear, depending on the contents and status of the customer order.

The available drawers are:

  1. Notes for Customer — customer-facing notes attached to sections of the order

  2. Time Log — technician time tracking for service jobs

  3. Attachments — forms and file attachments for the order

  4. Service History — past service jobs for the customer's units

  5. Customer Approvals — approval records for service work

  6. Parts Picklist — picking status for parts on the order

  7. Deposits — deposit history and totals

  8. Invoice History — past invoices and reopen options

  9. Text Message — send and receive SMS messages with the customer

  10. Internal Notes — staff-only notes not visible to the customer

  11. Profitability — margin breakdown across all sections of the order

Select any drawer icon will expand (pull out) that drawer. The drawer stays open until you close it, select a different drawer icon, or click back into the section body.

Tab Access and Permissions

Individual user permissions can dictate which tabs or drawers are exposed to a user.

Check with your system administrator.

Switch between the Classic and Blackpurl 2 experiences

To try out the new selling experience just click on the icon with your initials in the top right of the screen and select the "Switch to new CO" option.

At any time you can switch back to the Classic CO experience by just reversing the process.
