This article will explain the two methods that the Dealership can manually log Technician Hours onto a Customer Order - by Hours only or by Time in / Time out

This is only for those Dealerships that use the manual log entry on the Customer Order > Service Jobs / Deal Service / Internal Service Jobs to log Technician time

We have given the Dealerships two options:

Option - Hours only

When entering manual hours on a Customer Order, the user will not be required to enter a Time in / Time out

They will be just required to enter how many hours

For example:

The technician Cathy Price worked on Customer Order > Service Job for 2 hours so the Dealership just wants to record that they worked on the Customer Order for 2 hours

The user would click on and on the Log technician time, the user would be required to select a Technician / review the date (change as required) / enter the Hours logged and then click on

Note on the screen shot below - that the Time In and Time out fields are greyed out

We would not be recommending to use this feature if you are reviewing the Technician Productivity reports

Option - Time in/Time out

When entering manual hours on a Customer Order, the user will be required to enter a Time in / Time out and Blackpurl will calculate the number of hours

The User will also need to ensure that they are not overlapping other Time in / Time Out job clocking or manual entries that are already in Blackpurl
