Finalizing a Customer Order in Blackpurl means collecting payment and issuing an invoice to the customer. Once all items are paid in full, the order is closed and no further changes can be made.
Steps
Navigate to the Customer Order that is ready to be finalized.
1. Click Checkout to open the Checkout section.
2. From the Checkout section, complete the following steps in order:
Under Select what you want to checkout, Blackpurl automatically selects all items eligible for checkout. Untick any items you do not want to include in this transaction.
Under Choose a Payment Method, select how the customer is paying.
Type in the amount being paid by that payment method.
Click Add Payment to finalize the payment for that payment method.
Tip: You can process multiple payment methods in a single checkout. For example, if a customer is paying partly by Cash and partly by Visa, select Cash, enter the Cash amount, and click Add Payment. Then select Visa, enter the remaining amount, and click Add Payment again.
3. The Balance Due area turns green once all selected items have been paid in full. Click Finalize Checkout and choose to Print Invoice or Email Invoice to send a copy to the customer.
Tip: You can backdate a payment and/or invoice. See Backdate Customer Order Deposits, Payments, and Invoices for details.
4. After checkout, an Invoice History section is added to the Customer Order. To reprint or re-email the invoice at a later date, navigate to this section and click the print or email option next to the invoice details.
If all items on the Customer Order have been paid in full, the order status changes to Closed and no further changes can be made.
