Move Line Items Between Sections or Customer Orders

Move parts, labour, and other line items between sections on the same Customer Order or to a different Customer Order entirely.

This article explains how to move line items between sections on the same Customer Order — for example, from a Parts & Accessories section to a Service Job section — or to a completely different Customer Order. This is useful when a customer's needs change after a section has already been set up, or when line items were added to the wrong order.

Common Scenarios

You may need to move line items in the following situations:

  • A Parts & Accessories section has been set up for parts the customer wants to purchase, but the customer has now asked the dealership to fit the parts as well. A Service Job section needs to be created, and the parts must be moved from the Parts & Accessories section to the new Service Job section.

  • A Service Job section was created for parts and labour, but the customer no longer wants the dealership to fit the parts. The parts are moved to a Parts & Accessories section so the customer can simply purchase them.

  • Line items were added to the wrong Customer Order and need to be moved to the correct one.
