A quick cash sale lets you sell parts and accessories from stock to a walk-in customer without creating or selecting a customer record. Use this workflow when the customer is taking the parts immediately and you don't need to track who purchased them.
Steps
Before you start, confirm the parts the customer wants are in stock and available on the shelf.
1. In the Blackpurl header, click Sell and select Sell Parts & Accessories. Because this is a cash sale to an unknown customer, you do not need to select a customer.
2. The Parts & Accessories section opens. This is where you will add the items the customer is purchasing to the customer order.
3. Click the Scan or search to add a part, kit, fee or merchandise field, then scan the barcode on the part or type a search keyword to find it. The system lists matching results — click the correct part to add it to the customer order. Repeat this step for each additional item the customer is purchasing.
4. Once the part has been added, enter the QTY Needed and adjust the Price if required. The price level defaults to Retail.
5. When all items have been added and the customer order is complete, go to the Checkout section and click CHECKOUT. Select a payment method, type in the amount for that payment method, then click ADD PAYMENT. You can split payment across multiple methods — select each payment method and enter the amount payable until the full order total is covered.
6. Once the customer order has been paid in full, the Balance Due area turns green. Click FINALIZE CHECKOUT. You will be given the option to print the invoice or email it to the customer.
7. Once the customer order is finalised, its status changes to CLOSED and an Invoice History section is added. No further changes can be made to the order.
What to Know About Cash Sales
Because this is a cash sale, the customer order will not appear on any customer record. If you need to associate a sale with a specific customer, use a standard customer order instead of the quick cash sale workflow.
