Job Clocking On and Off for Service Jobs

How technicians can clock on and off service jobs in Blackpurl using the Job Clocking screen or directly from a Customer Order.

Job Clocking in Blackpurl lets technicians record the time they spend on Customer Order service jobs. This article covers both methods for clocking on and off: using the Job Clocking screen from the main navigation, or working directly from the Technician time section inside a Customer Order.

Before You Start

Technicians must be set up in Blackpurl for Payroll Clocking and Job Clocking before using either method. To complete that setup, see Set Up Payroll Clocking and Job Clocking.

The Job Clocking screen shows all open service jobs and lets technicians find their assigned work, clock on, and clock off from one place.

  • Service jobs already assigned to other technicians are listed last. The technician still has the option to click Assign to Me on these as well. Multiple technicians can be assigned to the same job.
