The Part Inventory Aging report lists all stock-on-hand parts with aging columns showing quantity and cost value broken down by age. Use it to identify slow-moving parts that may need attention and fast-moving parts you may need to keep more of on hand.
Before You Start
Set up your Part Aging Periods in System Settings > Settings and Controls > Other Settings before running this report. These periods define the aging columns that appear in the report. For instructions, see the Other Settings section of Settings & Controls Reference.
Running the Part Inventory Aging Report
Follow these steps to open and run the report.
1. From the Blackpurl header, navigate to Reporting > Reports.
2. In the Blackpurl reports section, select Part Inventory Aging.
3. The report runs in its default format, listing all stock-on-hand parts with aging columns based on the Part Aging Periods configured in System Settings > Settings and Controls > Other Settings. For example, if your aging periods are set to 30 / 60 / 90 / >90 days, the report generates columns for each of those periods. To change the aging periods, update them in System Settings > Settings and Controls > Other Settings.
The report displays both the quantity and cost value for each aging column, along with the quantity already committed for each part.
Customising the Report
You can adjust the report at any time to suit your needs:

Add or remove columns
Filter by specific criteria
Export or save the report as a custom report

How Aging Data Is Captured
Blackpurl runs an automated script every night to capture the aging data for each part. This nightly process ensures the aging columns in the report reflect accurate, up-to-date information.
