Every text shows its status right under the message, and it updates live. No refreshing needed.
Status | What it means |
Sending | Blackpurl is handing your message to the carrier. |
Sent | The carrier accepted it. |
Delivered | It reached the customer's phone. |
Failed | It didn't reach the customer. A plain-language reason shows when one is available. |
Why texts fail
Reason | What to do |
Invalid number | The number is wrong or can't get texts, such as a landline. Check it, and its SMS setting, in Manage numbers. |
Opted out | The customer replied STOP. Reach them another way. Learn about opt-outs. |
Carrier blocked | The carrier filtered the message. Try rewording, and avoid link shorteners. |
Retry a failed text
Select Retry on the failed message. Each retry shows as a new attempt in the thread.
Still failing? Confirm the number is correct and has SMS turned on, or contact the customer another way.
