Unit Sales Manager Reports

Key reports for Unit Sales Managers to run regularly in Blackpurl, covering stock valuation, deal units, and active unit deals.

This article covers the reports we recommend for your Unit Sales Manager to run on a regular basis — at minimum weekly. These reports help you track inventory, monitor sales activity, and keep unit deals moving.

Sales Workspace

The Sales workspace gives you important at-a-glance metrics that may reduce how often you need to run full reports. If you keep an eye on the key metrics there, you may find that full reports are only needed when you want deeper detail.

Accessing Unit Reports

All reports are available through Blackpurl Header > Reporting > Reports. There is a dedicated section for Units within the Reporting area.

Every report comes with default parameters and columns suited to that report type, but you can adjust these to suit your needs. For guidance on customising reports, see Reporting Tips and Tricks.

Recommended Reports

Stock Valuation Report / Stock Unit Report

Use these reports to reconcile the units you physically have in stock against your floorplan documentation and what Blackpurl shows as your current stock. Your controller or bookkeeper will also use these reports to balance against your accounting package.

  • Export to Excel and sort by Category to compare each category's Inventory General Ledger against the matching valuation in Blackpurl — in theory these should match.

  • For further information, see Stock Units Report.

Deal Units Report

The Deal Units report gives you a list of units sold, which you can filter by salesperson, time frame, and other parameters.

Active Unit Deals Report

The Active Unit Deals report provides a list of all active unit deals currently in the system. You can adjust the parameters to filter for deals in quotation status, making it easy to identify quotes that need follow-up.

Keep Your Unit Deals Moving

The priority is to keep unit deals progressing — follow up on outstanding quotations and make sure units are ordered and received in a timely manner. Running these reports regularly gives you the visibility to act before deals stall.
