This article explains how to disconnect Blackpurl from your accounting package — QuickBooks Online or Xero — and how to restore that connection if you need to reconnect later.
Disconnecting
Users with the appropriate permission can disconnect an accounting package from within Blackpurl. To do this, go to System Settings > Accounting Integration and click the disconnect link for your accounting package (for example, Disconnect for QuickBooks Online, or the equivalent for Xero).
Once disconnected, no accounting integration will occur. Transactions from Blackpurl will no longer be sent to QuickBooks Online or Xero until the connection is restored.
Reconnecting
To allow accounting integration to occur again, the link between Blackpurl and your accounting package must be re-established. Contact Blackpurl Support to go through the required steps:
Use the chat bubble within Blackpurl
Email [email protected]
Once the connection is re-established, transactions that were not synced during the disconnection period can be pushed across to your accounting package. Discuss this with Blackpurl Support if you need historical transactions synced.
Sync Failures and Monitoring
The Blackpurl Support Development Team is automatically notified of any accounting sync failures, including failures caused by a disconnection. A sync failure occurs when a transaction does not successfully integrate into your accounting package. The team will review the cause and resolve the issue, with or without contacting the dealership directly.
