Kits Explained

Kits let you group parts, labour, and other items into a reusable bundle that automatically populates a service job on a customer order.

A kit in Blackpurl is a saved combination of parts, labour, and other items that you use together regularly. Instead of manually adding each item every time, you add the kit to a service job and the parts list and concern/cause details populate automatically.

Why Use Kits

Consider a common scenario: a customer comes in and asks for everything they need to do a 1,000km service on their 4WD truck. You know they'll need oil, an oil filter, and an air filter — but it's easy to forget something, and you still need to confirm the right oil type for that specific unit.

By setting up a kit for that service combination in advance, you eliminate the guesswork. The next time a customer asks for the same service, add the relevant kit to the Customer Order service job and the full parts list and concern/cause details populate automatically — nothing missed, no time wasted looking it up.

What a Kit Can Include

  • Parts (for example, oil, oil filter, air filter)

  • Labour items

  • Any other items your business regularly bundles together for a service or job
