BP2CO HowTo: Add Units to a Deal

When working with a unit deal you will need to add at least one unit to the deal. You can add multiple units to be sold on the deal, use temporary units or add multiple trade-in units. When you first create a unit deal you will be required to add a unit of some kind.

The Add Unit Action

For a newly created deal you are required to add a unit before proceeding. Once a unit has been added you can then add additional stock units, trade-ins or temporary units. To add a unit to a deal select the "Add Unit" action button.

The Add Unit screen

The add unit screen allows you to add three different types of units to the unit deal. By default it assumes that you want to add a unit to sell.

The Sell Unit workflow

The Sell Unit workflow provides you with a listing of all unsold units and even includes units that are on order for inventory. You can then use the Search box or the Filter option to refine the listing to locate the unit you want to sell on your deal.

Once you find the unit you are looking for, simply click on the unit and it will be added to the deal as a unit you are selling.

The Temporary Unit workflow

The Temporary Unit workflow provides you with the ability to add a placeholder unit allowing you to work up a deal to sell a unit before the needed unit even exists.

The Trade-In Unit workflow

The Trade-In Unit workflow provides you with a listing of units owned by the customer. You can then use the Search box or the Filter options to refine the listing if the customer has a large number of units on record.

If the customers unit has never been created before a "+ Customer Unit" action button is available in the top right of the Add to Deal screen. Selecting this will take you through the workflow of creating a customer unit and when saved that unit will be added as a trade-in on the deal.
