Blackpurl can be fully integrated with Xero - this article will cover a few important details that you must be aware of and how to establish the integration connection between Blackpurl and Xero

Are you using an existing Xero account
- Log into your Xero Account
- Create a Xero user for Blackpurl and use the email address that corresponds to your country:
- Australian / New Zealand Dealerships, please use - xero.au@blackpurl.com
- Canadian Dealerships, please use - support@blackpurl.com
- USA Dealerships, please use - xero.usa@blackpurl.com
This will automatically send an invite to Blackpurl which we will accept so that the connection can be completed by your Activation Specialist
- Assign the Blackpurl user to have Adviser access
- Finalise your Chart of Accounts
There are specific General Ledger Chart of Accounts that Blackpurl will needs for the integration to run ie basic default General Ledger Accounts
Our Activation Team will be able to provide this list to you
Are you signing up to a new Xero account for the first time
- Sign up to Xero Account
- Upload your Chart of Accounts
- This would be a good time to discuss Chart of Accounts with your accountant
- It maybe the case that you just want to use the default Chart of Accounts provided by Xero but just so you are aware, Blackpurl will need certain General Ledger Accounts to be added for the integration
- Our Activation Team will be able to provide this list to you and can also assist you with the implementation of Xero (if needed)
- Create a Xero user for Blackpurl and use the email address that corresponds to your country:

Why does Blackpurl need access
Blackpurl is added to your Xero as an Advisor purely to enable the Blackpurl / QuickBooks Online integration - it does not mean Blackpurl is acting as your Advisor
This access allows Blackpurl to securely connect and automatically sync transactions and related data generated through your day-to-day operations, such as invoices, payments, and customer records
Blackpurl requires this level of access to ensure the integration with Xero is seemless for including setup, ongoing syncing, and the ability for our team to troubleshoot issues or investigate support inquiries (if needed)
Please note that we do not review, manage, audit, or make any financial decisions about your accounting / financial standing and at all times you remain in full control of your accounting system while your actual accountant should continues to handle all financial matters
Please note It is the Dealership's responsibility for entering in the opening balances (from your previous Balance Sheet and Income Statement) into your new Xero Further information is available on the Xero Central but this link is a very good place to start - https://central.xero.com/s/article/Enter-conversion-balances
