Tax Code Mapping for Accounting Integration (Australia and New Zealand)

Step 3 of the accounting integration setup: map Blackpurl tax codes to your Xero or QuickBooks Online tax codes for GST reporting in Australia and New Zealand.

Tax code mapping is Step 3 of the accounting integration setup process and applies only to Blackpurl dealerships in Australia and New Zealand. This step connects the tax codes configured in Blackpurl directly to the matching tax codes in Xero or QuickBooks Online, enabling you to use your accounting package's built-in tax reporting when lodging returns with your relevant tax office — such as a Business Activity Statement (BAS).

For the full accounting integration process, see Accounting Integration Setup: All Steps.

How Tax Code Mapping Works

Xero and QuickBooks Online for Australia and New Zealand support direct tax code mapping. Blackpurl takes advantage of this by letting you map each Blackpurl tax code to the corresponding tax code in your accounting package. Once mapped, transactions posted from Blackpurl carry the correct tax classification through to your accounting package automatically.

Your Blackpurl Activation Team will complete the tax code mapping on your behalf — you do not need to do this yourself.
