Blackpurl Reporting Overview

A guide to finding, using, and customising reports in Blackpurl, including manager recommendations and scheduled reporting options.

Blackpurl's reporting tools are designed to give you flexibility — you can use the built-in reports as-is, customise them to suit your dealership's needs, or build your own from scratch. This article points you to the key resources that will help you get the most out of reporting in Blackpurl.

Blackpurl Reporting

Blackpurl takes a different approach to reporting — rather than providing an overwhelming list of reports you may never use, it gives you a focused set of tools you can adapt to your needs. There are three ways to work with reports:

  • Use one of the built-in reports as provided

  • Start with a built-in report and customise it to suit your needs

  • Create your own reports from scratch

The best advice: spend time exploring the reports, work out what information you need, and reach out to Blackpurl Support if you need help.

These articles will give you a solid foundation for working with reports in Blackpurl:

Reports Provided to You

Blackpurl includes a set of built-in reports, and each report has a dedicated Knowledge Base article to guide you through it. To find help for a specific report, click Help in the Blackpurl header and search for the report name.

Type the report name into the search field and select the relevant Knowledge Base article from the results.

Manager Reports

Encouraging your managers to use reports early is one of the best ways to get value from Blackpurl's reporting tools. The following articles outline recommended starting points for each management role:

Bookkeeper / Accountant Reports

The Reporting section includes a dedicated Reconciliations category containing reports your bookkeeper or accountant should run on a regular basis. See the overview article for a full explanation of what's available and how to use it:

Scheduled Reports

Some Blackpurl reports can be scheduled to run automatically and emailed directly to a Blackpurl licensed user. This is useful for recurring reports your team needs on a daily or weekly basis. For full details on how to set this up, see:
