The A/P Inventory Accrual Account (RTN) report shows the total value of vendor returns your dealership is still waiting to receive credit memos for. Run this report regularly to keep your A/P Inventory Accrual balances reconciled between Blackpurl and your accounting package.
What This Report Is For
The A/P Inventory Accrual Account (RTN) report shows what Blackpurl calculates as the total of your Accounts Payable (A/P) Inventory Accrual for vendor returns where the dealership is still waiting for vendor credit memos.
How to Run This Report
1. From the Blackpurl header, navigate to Reporting > Reports > Reconciliation > A/P Inventory Accrual Account (RTN).
2. The report loads with the relevant filters, columns, and totals already configured. To get the total of vendor returns still awaiting vendor credit notes, click the Totals icon and review the total.
When to Run This Report
Run this report regularly — at minimum at the end of each month. This lets you balance your accounting package's A/P Inventory Accrual General Ledger for credit memos against the corresponding total in Blackpurl.
What to Do With This Report
If your dealership has accounting integration enabled, use the report total to compare the A/P Inventory Accrual Account (RTN) balance in Blackpurl against the matching A/P Inventory Accrual Account General Ledger balance in your accounting package.
For step-by-step guidance on performing that comparison and confirming your balances reconcile, see Reconcile the Received Inventory Accrual Account.
